The Importance of Paperwork
Throughout the transaction, we’ll be asking for your signature and input on many important forms. These forms have been compiled by the National Association of Realtors and the Cherokee Association of Realtors to protect your interests as a home seller. It’s important for a new buyer to understand exactly what they are buying, which is accomplished by you, as the seller, disclosing everything you know about the property. As your realtor, I will gladly explain the significance of each of these forms and will monitor the documentation to be sure all necessary signatures are obtained.
Preparing Your Home For Sale
Prior to putting your home on the market, it’s important to be sure you’ve done everything you can to make the home the most attractive to potential buyers. This way, the home will be more likely to sell faster at a higher price with the most convenience to you. Potential buyers will get the best impression if your home is clean, neat, uncluttered, in good repair, light, airy, fragrant and quiet. We’ll discuss our recommendations and work with you to determine what you can do to create the best possible presentation. Following are some general tips :
· Clean everything
· De-clutter your home
· Fix anything that is broken
· Make sure entry way and front door are clean and inviting
· Paint and clean or replace carpets
· Groom the landscaping
· Look at model homes and copy them
Other, more expensive improvements may be considered dependent on the return on investment and your goals. We can discuss ideas and options during a walk through of your home.
